The very first star of the week assembly

The teachers had so many children to choose from today, the decision was very hard. The first week back has been fantastic. Stars were awarded for excellent behaviour, super manners and wonderful settling in. Well done to everyone.

The breakfast club star of the week was Lucy.

Our assemblies have been focusing on respect.

20120905-093520.jpg It was a costly assembly for Mrs Sutton! We learnt that wasting money is disrespectful. We should respect ourselves and all things around us!

Welcome Mr Bussey

We have a new deputy! His name is Mr Bussey! Make sure you say say hello if you see him!

Olympics assembly

We were very privileged to have a special visitor today, Wally Dimmack, who carried the Olympic torch! He very kindly drew the lottery for our school Olympic tickets and unveiled the winners of our Olympic mascot competition. He was a torch bearer in Sparkhill, Birmingham last Sunday and was chosen because he coached swimming in the Wolverhampton area for an incredible 50 years! He told us that the support he received was amazing and people were chanting his name as he ran through the streets! He also came to watch the torch as it came past Moorfield in order to get an idea of what he had to do!

Congratulations to everyone who entered and a huge thank you to Kirk, for making the mascots!
